Researcher at Nijmegen University wins international physics prize

Dr Charles Timmermans of the Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands) has been awarded the High Energy Physics Outreach Prize (EPS High Energy Physics Outreach Prize) by the European Physics Society.

The prize is handed out to physicists who have made a big contribution to the distribution of knowledge about physics among the general public. Timmermans is awarded the prize for his services to education in the field of astrophysics in secondary schools.
