The position of Director-General of Nuffic is currently vacant. The recruitment process to fill the vacancy is ongoing. In the meantime Mr Joep Houterman, Member of the Board of Directors, serves as acting Director-General.
The Director-General is responsible for the general strategic policy. To that end he maintains national as well international relations. He engages in high-level consultations with relevant national and international organisations and governments and acts as Chair of the Board of Directors, the weekly meeting of Nuffic’s senior management team. He also attends to the full implementation of Nuffic’s policy.
The Director-General is the first point of contact for the Board of Trustees. In addition, he is responsible for managing Nuffic’s personnel and financial affairs and for the quality and the number of staff and the day-to-day management of the organisation.
The Director-General receives administrative support from a secretary and an administrative support officer, to carry out his tasks in the areas of process control, management, organisation and policy preparation.
