The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (Ford-IFP) will close in 2013. No new scholarships are available. Nuffic continues to act as Ford IFP's placement partner.
Impact and learning
With the final batch of scholars selected, the ten-year IFP programme has now entered its 'impact and learning phase', which is focused on assessing and sharing knowledge.
In 2012 IFP will launch a new alumni website which will serve as its living legacy.
Ten years, 4,300 alumni
The International Fellowships Program was launched in 2001 thanks to a $355 million grant from the Ford Foundation. The programme has awarded more than 3,300 fellowships for post-graduate study at universities around the world to leaders from underserved communities in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Russia.
