Increasing Dutch-Russian cooperation in higher education
A new report, presented at the Russia seminar in Amsterdam on 19 March, shows that institutional cooperation between Dutch and Russian higher education institutions is on the rise.
NFP students well-represented at NL4Talents
On 23 February the first edition of NL4Talents took place. About 1,000 talented international students and invitees gathered in The Hague to engage in networking and get information on working in the Netherlands. Among the international students attending the event there were many students with a fellowship of the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP).
Indonesian alumni meet Minister Timmermans
During his recent visit to Jakarta, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Frans Timmermans hosted an event for more than 70 alumni representing a wide range of Dutch higher education institutions. The event at the Erasmus Huis in Jakarta was organised by the Embassy and Nuffic Neso Indonesia.
Thailand continues One-District-One-Scholarship Programme
Recently the Thai government approved the fourth round of the One-District-One-Scholarship (ODOS) programme for 2013-2014. A total of 1,856 scholarships will be awarded, which is twice as many as last year. The government has approved a budget of 14,000 million baht (about € 350 million) to be spent over the next seven years.
Ten new Nuffic Neso websites live!
The ten Nuffic Neso offices have launched their new websites. The websites followed the example of the Study in Holland website that was launched last summer, with a completely new design and navigation structure.

ACA 20th Anniversary Conference, The Hague, 9 – 11 June 2013
In 2013, the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and part of the celebrations will be the ACA 20th Anniversary Conference. As a founding member of the ACA, Nuffic is proud to co-organise and host this important event, which will take place in The Hague, from 9 to 11 June 2013. We are expecting many participants from around the world and from the Netherlands in particular.

The first Nuffic Neso Open Day
The very first Nuffic Neso Open Day was held on 19 February in the Hague and was well attended by 85 representatives of Dutch higher education institutions. The aim of the event was to connect the Dutch higher education institutions with the Nuffic Neso offices. Nuffic management and all the Nuffic Neso directors were present.
Trends and developments in Turkish higher education
In 2012, Nuffic and the Netherlands-Turkey Higher Education and Vocational Education Foundation (NIHA) published the Turkey Education Market Information Factsheet. As a follow up, NIHA has now prepared a new report: ‘An Insight into Higher Education in Turkey, 2012’, which is now available on the Nuffic market information website.
Five Dutch institutions in top 100 of reputation rankings
Times Higher Education magazine has published its 2013 World Reputation Rankings. Five Dutch higher education institutions are listed in the top 100.

Nuffic launches www.careerinholland.nl
On Saturday 23 February Nuffic launched the website www.careerinholland.nl at the event NL4Talents. This new website provides international students and alumni with reliable and up-to-date information about career opportunities in Holland after their studies.
