Siberian universities looking for Dutch partners
Two Russian universities in Siberia want to start cooperation with Dutch higher education institutions. The areas of interest are Arts and Design, Architecture (urban studies) and Economics. You can find more details in the Call for Partners provided by the Nuffic Neso office in Russia.
Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts
The Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts is looking for internship opportunities for Russian students in the final years of their studies in the field of architecture and urban development. The aim for the long term is to set up joint education programmes.
The academy trains specialists - such as architects and designers - on bachelor´s and master´s level in higher professional education. It has international cooperation experience with European universities for example with Delft University and several German higher education institutions like the Technical University in Dresden.
The city government of Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia, provides scholarships for Russian Academy students wanting to do an international internship abroad. With 1.5 million citizens Novosibirsk is the third most populous city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. The city is famous for its Akademgorodok, a science city close to Novosibirsk founded in the 1960s and often referred to as the Russian Silicon Valley.
Tomsk State University
The International Department of Management at Tomsk State University is looking for Dutch partnerships in the fields of Economics, Business and Management. The perfect outcome would be the development of a joint programme at bachelor´s or master´s level, although seminars, study visits and internships are also of strong interest.
Tomsk State University is recognised by the Russian Ministry of Education as one of the National Research Universities, which means it is eligible for extra financial support for educational projects from the Russian Government.
Tomsk University already has a wide range of established international programmes with universities in France, Germany, the UK and China. The institution has a joint e-learning project with the London School of Business and Economics. The city of Tomsk is well known for its high-level ICT industry.
In October 2012 Nuffic Neso visited Siberia and participated in EU Fairs and a round table meeting on institutional cooperation in Novosibirsk and Tomsk.
