PhD & post-doc call Science without Borders Holland
After a successful bachelor’s call, the Science without Borders Holland programme will soon launch a first call for applications at PhD and post-doc level. The call will remain open until 2015 and the scholarship will be awarded at several moments per year.
The call will have four modalities:
PhD sandwich I
The PhD candidates do research at a Dutch institution, after which they conclude their thesis in Brazil. They receive a scholarship for a period of up to 12 months.
PhD sandwich II
The PhD candidates do research at a Dutch institution and obtain a double degree. They receive a scholarship for a period of up to 24 months.
Full PhD
The students do a full PhD and obtain their degree at a Dutch institution. They receive a scholarship for a period of up to 48 months.
Post-doc
The researchers expand their research as a post-doc at a Dutch institution They receive a scholarship for a period of up to 24 months.
Double degrees
Special attention is given to institutional cooperation, especially in the two-year sandwich modality. In this modality Dutch and Brazilian universities will be able to set up a double degree programme. The research is to be carried out in both countries.
Portal
A special portal facilitates the contacts between candidates and the Dutch institutions through specific profiles and search options. The portal also serves as a platform where the Dutch research and higher education institutions can post their vacancies or projects.
