NICHE rules and regulations workshop
On 6 March 2012 almost 50 Dutch implementers of NICHE projects came together in Utrecht for a workshop focused on the NICHE Financial Rules and Regulations, including a hands-on session, a review of similar workshops held in NICHE countries and a review of a recently held regional NICHE seminar in Rwanda.
Financial workshops in NICHE countries
The first workshop session provided information and feedback from the various Financial Rules and Regulations Workshops that have been held in the participating NICHE countries. This session aimed to inform the Dutch partners about the issues that have been raised and addressed by their Southern counterparts in these workshops.
Improving reports, more efficiency
The second workshop was more hands on and consisted of a demonstration of the 'Annex to progress report' Excel sheet and the latest improvements designed to improve the quality of the progress reports and the efficiency of project management.
Regional seminar Rwanda
The final session focused on how to mainstream gender and labour market issues in capacity development projects. The participants received feedback from a regional seminar that was held in Rwanda from 12-14 December 2011 and how to use this feedback in their projects. An interactive DVD, aimed at strengthening knowledge and understanding of gender and labour market issues, was presented.
