New calls for proposals Nuffic and CAPES
Nuffic and the Brazilian intermediary organisation CAPES published two calls for proposals. One call is for joint research projects and the exchange of PhD students. The other call for proposals is for projects that stimulate Dutch-Brazilian cooperation at undergraduate level. On the Brazilian side the projects will be funded by CAPES.
Joint research and PhD exchange
The call for proposals for research projects and exchange of PhD students is initiated for the fourth time. Dutch higher education institutions that want to submit a project proposal must first look for a Brazilian partner institution. The Dutch project proposals will be processed by Nuffic Neso Brazil.
The Brazilian institutions need to send their part of the proposal to CAPES. For more information about this call for proposals, contact information, the application procedure and the application form, please visit the Nuffic Neso Brazil website.
Undergraduate programmes
The second call for proposals is named BRANETEC II and is initiated for the second time. BRANETEC II aims to set up joint projects between Dutch and Brazilian higher education institutions that offer undergraduate courses.
This in turn should stimulate the exchange of students between the countries and the alignment of curricular structures, including the recognition of study credits obtained at the partner university.
In BRANETEC II, Capes offers to cover a certain amount of the Dutch universities’ tuition fees for the students.
For detailed information about the BRANETEC II call for proposals, contact information, the application procedure and the application form, please visit the Nuffic Neso Brazil website.
Dutch higher education institutions are warmly invited to participate in the projects. For both calls for proposals the deadline for submitting project proposals is 20 March 2012.
