More Neso country students studying in Holland

The number of students from countries where there is a Nuffic Neso, who come to study in the Netherlands continues to grow. In the 2011-2012 academic year more than 10,000 students from the Neso countries were studying in the Netherlands.

The growing number of incoming studentscould be an indication of the growing popularity of the Netherlands as a study destination.

The growth, as compared to 2010-2011, was 6 %. The countries that are showing the highest growth are South Korea (+21%), Mexico (+20%), and Russia (+16%). The Neso countries that send out the largest number of students to the Netherlands are China, Indonesia and India. The graph below shows the total growth since 2006-2007.
