Did you know that the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) organises interesting events on current themes relating to internationalisation of higher education?

Nuffic is a founding member of the association and regularly cooperates with ACA in research projects. ACA’s latest publication called 'European and national policies for academic mobility: linking rhetoric, practice and mobility trends', for instance, is a result of a collaborative effort between ACA, Nuffic and DAAD.

ACA conferences and seminars may be of interest to organisations affiliated with Nuffic.

ACA Annual Conference

Tying it all together: internationalisation, excellence, funding and the social dimension in higher education. These are the four themes addressed at the upcoming ACA Annual Conference, taking place from 10-12 June 2012 at the University of Helsinki in Finland.

The conference is aimed at participants working in the field of strategic planning and internationalisation of higher education, and in international organisations, government and NGOs. The conference offers good opportunities for learning, knowledge exchange and networking at a high level.

Discounted registration rates are available until 30 April, so make sure you register early!

ACA Seminar Series

In addition to its Annual Conference, ACA offers a regular seminar series on issues relating to internationalisation of higher education.

The next ACA seminar, taking place in Brussels on 10 May 2012, focuses on 'The IMPI initiative and beyond: Mapping and profiling internationalisation'. This one-day symposium will present the results of the IMPI project, a three-year EU-funded initiative in which Nuffic is one of the core partners.

The symposium will present the IMPI toolbox, a comprehensive list of indicators to evaluate and benchmark internationalisation of higher education. It will also address the challenges inherent to measuring internationalisation, and will include perspectives from other relevant projects.

So, if you are interested in measuring and benchmarking internationalisation, this is the place to be on 10 May!
