As Brazil is a growing market, more and more countries are directing their international policies and recruitment activities towards Brazil. What are the most active recruiting countries doing in Brazil, what are they offering and how does it relate to the strategy of Dutch institutions? These and other questions are answered in the new competitor analysis report.

The study-abroad market

The study-abroad market in Brazil is going through a period of rapid development. Brazil is the largest education market in Latin America and this expansion is being fuelled by the economic growth, the entrance of the new players and the significant investments made by the Brazilian government, mainly through the Science without Borders scholarship programme.

The competitors

The competitor analysis by Nuffic Neso Brazil shows that the US, France, Germany, Canada, the UK, Australia, Portugal and Spain are the eight most active countries in the higher education market of Brazil, in addition to the Netherlands. According to the report these countries take different  market approaches to attract students. As an example, some countries focus not only on promotional activities, but also on institutional cooperation.

The report contains an analysis of the activities of our competitors, which Dutch institutions could consider adopting if they want to become more active and successful on the Brazilian education market.
