The Holland Alumni network project with a focus on Neso countries has been finalised. The trainings and ambassador programmes, as well as the insights gained from research have led to a solid network of Holland Alumni.

The goal of the project was to reinforce the Holland Alumni networks, specifically in the Neso countries, and to  support education institutions in pursuing their international alumni policy.

Project activities started at the end of 2010 and included training sessions for alumni officers from Dutch higher education institutions as well as staff from Holland Alumni associations around the world.

The participants indicated that the training provided them with important skills to help them stay connected with their alumni.

Holland Alumni barometer

In addition, a large-scale survey was conducted among Holland Alumni around the world. The survey examined the needs and wishes of the alumni as well as the effect of their study in Holland on their careers.

Furthermore, 250 alumni were trained to be ´Study in Holland ambassadors´ and are now contributing to promoting Holland as an education destination.

Next steps

For the 2012-2015 period, the Holland Alumni network will focus on strengthening ties between alumni and the Dutch knowledge economy.

The Holland Alumni network website will therefore provide more information on career opportunities and businesses in the Netherlands at an early stage.
