Online promotion

International students mainly look online for information about study opportunities abroad. Nuffic therefore uses several online resources to make it easy for students to find their way to study programmes in the Netherlands.

Website

The www.studyinholland.nl website offers international students access to the most important information about studying and living in the Netherlands. It covers everything from information about the Dutch higher education system to a personal checklist, films or information about visa procedures: the website aims to make students enthusiastic about studying in the Netherlands and ensures that they get off to a good start.

Furthermore, the website acts as a portal and where necessary provides links to external websites.

Online advertising

The Study in Holland campaign is always actively looking for new online advertising opportunities. We also monitor and evaluate existing online advertisements to check that they are producing the desired results.

For instance, we use Google AdWords campaigns, we advertise on Facebook and place banners on various other websites, such as  Topuniversities.com, Studyportals.eu en Educations.com. These adverts increase the online presence and reputation of Study in Holland and drive traffic to the website. Looking to the future, we will continue to monitor which online advertising options offer the best opportunities for the Study in Holland campaign.

Link building

Study in Holland actively approaches other websites, asking them to link to the Study in Holland website or add the Study in Holland logo. By the same token, the site accepts links from parties that offer information relevant to international students.

In addition to including the link, you can also use Study in Holland promotional texts:

Social media

Since 2009, the Study in Holland campaign has been active on Facebook, offering new, current and former students in the Netherlands information about living and studying in the Netherlands. It also offers information on events and news about studying in the Netherlands. But it also offers a platform where users can share their own experiences or ask questions.

if your institution has its own Facebook page for international students, we will be happy to add you as a favourite, ensuring that interested students can find your Facebook page easily. Interested? Please drop us a line.

The Study in Holland campaign is also active on YouTube and Twitter. On our YouTube channel, international students can watch a collection of promotional films about studying in the Netherlands. Besides the Study in Holland campaign's own film, there are also films from individual higher education institutions as well as the Nuffic Neso offices, and even video diaries from other international students.

Does your institution have its own promotional film for international students? If so, let us know and we will add your films (maximum of three per institution) to our channel.

Share your experiences

Our eyes and ears are always open for innovative ideas and participation in other communities. Where do the opportunities lie, and where are the pitfalls? We then look for the best way to pick up on this. Do you want to share your experience with us, or do you have any suggestions relating to our use of online communities? Please drop us a line.
