Nuffic and Capes launch 2013 Calls for Proposals

This year Nuffic and Capes launch two calls, namely the third edition of Branetec and the fifth edition of Nuffic-Capes.

Branetec

Branetec is directed at joint bachelor exchange projects with the objective of aligning curricula between Dutch and Brazilian higher education institutions and to stimulate Brazilian students to obtain an academic and/or practical experience in The Netherlands and vice versa.

The programme has been restructured and was included in the scope of Science without Borders (SwB), which means for instance that the Dutch higher education institutions receiving Brazilian Bachelor students will be compensated with a flat rate amount. This also means that all projects are subject to the priority areas of SwB and that reciprocity in exchanging students is not obligatory.

Nuffic-Capes 

Nuffic-Capes call for proposals has as its objective to stimulate scientific exchange between the Dutch and Brazilian universities and research institutes and the formation of high level human resources in both countries. The Nuffic-Capes call foresees reciprocal exchange of PhD students, for which the Brazilian side receives financing through Capes. The Dutch partner should exempt all fees for receiving Brazilian PhD students and is responsible for the financing of the research project at the Dutch side.
