Description of education systems in 60 countries
Nuffic offers detailed information on the education systems of about 60 countries in its ‘education country modules’. Apart from a description of how education is organised in a specific country, the modules provide information about the main qualifications issued in the country, as well as how these qualifications are evaluated in the Netherlands.
Japanese visitors study Dutch internationalisation
A delegation of the Japanese National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD-UE) visited Nuffic on 18 September, to learn more about the way we handle credential evaluation and internationalisation in Holland.
Bologna ministers recommend Nuffic-coordinated manual
The ministers of education of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) recommend the use of the European Area of Recognition manual. This manual is the result of a project initiated and coordinated by Nuffic.
Improving European recognition of joint degrees
The recognition of joint degrees within Europe is still problematic, partly due to the lack of transparency and coherence of the information provided on the degree certificate. Within Europe there is also a lack of good examples. These are some of the issues that the JOQAR project aims to address.
Nuffic's recognition department: a role model for Japan?
The Japanese Ministry of Education has asked the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD-UE) to set up a national recognition information centre, which does not yet exist in Japan. A small delegation of the NIAD-UE visited Nuffic in February, to discuss the ins and outs of running such a centre.
