NPT
The Netherlands Programme for Institutional Strengthening of Post-secondary Education and Training Capacity (NPT) aims to strengthen the capacity of post-secondary education and training organisations in a selected number of countries. The programme has been closed but some projects are still running.
The NPT is a cooperation programme that enables Dutch partner countries to strengthen their institutional capacity for providing post-secondary education and training. It does this by making available Dutch expertise.
NPT supports organisations that play an important role in the development of post-secondary education and training, including post-secondary education institutions, ministries, national commissions and NGOs.
Demand-driven and output-oriented
The NPT programme is demand-driven, with a focus on local priorities, and output-oriented. Ownership on the part of stakeholders in the South plays an important role.
