Organisations
This project outline has been developed by FIPAG, the National Urban Water Asset Holding and Investment Fund. The tender for this project expired on 8 November 2010. Nuffic has awarded this tender to BMB Mott MacDonald, which has formed a consortium with Euroconsult Mott MacDonald, the Scottish Qualification Authority and ICC Lda.
Project description
This project aims to enable FIPAG to define a framework of professional competencies and qualifications for the water sector, in order to be accredited and included in the National Qualifications System.
In addition, FIPAG wants to strengthen its capacity to offer a competencies-based training system and to train providers to deliver technical and vocational training (TVET) and higher education at the national level.
To guarantee sustainability, FIPAG wants to explore the possibilities of setting up a vocational training centre that can bridge the gap between basic and higher education. The project will support this initiative by setting up a business plan.
