Project description

Through this project the IFAPAs intend to develop curricula and training in specific and new areas of public administration, adapted to the needs of the municipal labour market and integrating gender issues.

The project has a twofold aim. First, it aims to improve the capacity of the IFAPAs to manage their new training programmes by:

  • developing and managing a computerised database for student and financial registration which can provide up-to-date information related to IFAPA staff, trainees and trainers.
  • managing sharing of expertise between IFAPAs and other similar institutions in Mozambique and abroad.
  • setting up and managing IFAPA documentation centers for staff and students and to equip the IFAPAs with basic furniture and computers.

Second, the IFAPAs want to improve their teaching capacity to design, organise and implement gender balanced training courses in the following subjects:

  • Teaching methodologies;
  • Human Resources Management;
  • Financial management;
  • Patrimonial management;
  • Basic Mozambican administrative law;
  • General administration;
  • Secretariat;
  • PR and protocol;
  • Document management.
