Organisations

This project has been developed by ISCAM. The tender for this project expired on 28 April 2011. Nuffic has awarded this tender to CINOP, which has formed a consortium with North West University in South Africa.

Project description

This project will contribute to increase the organisational and institutional capacity of ISCAM itself and increase the employability of ISCAM graduates. Specifically, it aims to:

  • strengthen the capacity of ISCAM's lecturers;
  • provide accounting and auditing courses with international quality and according to agreed standards.

Among other things, the project includes at least five master courses for ISCAM lecturers in Accounting and Auditing, of which at least two will be women.

ISCAM wants to introduce a gender policy into the organisation and increase the enrolment of female students.

The project also aims at updating the accounting curricula and materials based on the new international standards. One of the strategies to be internationally accepted as recognised accountant, could be establishing partnerships with regional, national or international higher institutes and/or universities for certification and quality control of ISCAM’s graduates.

Finally, it is important that ISCAM participates in the latest ICT-developments in Mozambique and takes advantage of former NPT and NICHE experiences in the field.
