This project has been developed by the Department of Agribusiness of Bogor Agricultural University – Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). The tender for this project expired on 15 April 2011. Nuffic has awarded this tender to Maastricht School of Management (MSM), which has formed a consortium with Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR).
For the implementation of the project, they will collaborate with the University of Göttingen (Germany), the University of Kent (UK) and Imperial College (UK).
Project description
This project will help increase the performance of agribusiness education and training. In particular, it aims to:
- strengthen IPB's capacity, at department level, to run agribusiness programmes;
- develop better curricula and deliver cost-effective and labour market-related agribusiness programmes;
- improve research capacity in agribusiness;
- strengthen IPB's mentoring capacity to extend study programmes to partner universities.
In addition, the project aims to create and maintain linkages with agribusiness community stakeholders and the labour market.
Finally it will address gender issues and create opportunities for women in order to decrease gender imbalances.
