Project description

With this project the University of Rafael Landívar aims to strengthen its Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, in order to address the justice administration system. It wants to improve the professional performance of its lecturers, which shoud be value-driven.

It also aims to strengthen criminal investigation and forensics. Through an NPT project the faculty has already initiated the implementation of a career on Criminal Investigation and Forensics. This project was based on competency-based training on training-of-trainers perspectives and methodologies.

A justice system is essential for good governance. One of Guatemala's most fundamental weaknesses is precisely the administration of justice, characterised by faults and shortcomings in proceedings, but also by weak processes of criminal investigation and evidence collection and input of the courts.
