Ethiopia
The NICHE identification process in Ethiopia has resulted in the selection of three focus sectors: Education, Agriculture and Environment. On this page you can read more about the objectives of NICHE in Ethiopia. You can also download an edited web version of the Programme Outline.
Education
In the Education sector NICHE aims to:
- improve governance of Public Universities.
- improve capacity for quality assurance in the HE sector.
- strengthen the capacity of universities teaching Business and Economics to deliver quality, gender sensitive, education and training, or to do relevant research.
Agriculture
In the Agriculture sector NICHE aims to strengthen the capacity of agricultural education and training institutes (HE and TVET) to deliver quality, gender sensitive, education and training, or to do relevant research.
Environment
In the Natural Resource Management sector NICHE aims to strengthen the capacity of education and training institutes (HE and TVET) in the field of natural resource management to deliver quality, gender sensitive, education and training, or to do relevant research.
In the Ecotourism sector NICHE aims to strengthen the capacity of education and training institutes (HE and TVET) in the field of ecotourism to deliver quality, gender sensitive, education and training, or to do relevant research.
