This project has been jointly developed by the Institute of Governance Studies (IGS) and the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Institute (BPATC). The tender for this project expired on 5 August 2011. Nuffic has awarded this tender to MDF Training & Consultancy, which has formed a cosortium with:
- CIS-VU Centre for International Cooperation
- International Institute for Social Studies
- MDF South Asia
Project description
The IGS, which is part of BRAC University, and BPATC both offer capacity building programmes for civil servants. This unique public-private partnership will improve civil sector training delivery and widen the training scope.
The project will enable IGS and BPATC to design and offer short courses and executive courses that are gender-sensitive and in line with labour market needs.
In view of the forthcoming Civil Service Act, this project is well timed and in line with the government's ambition to develop a competent civil service sector.
