Climate change

Climate change poses significant risks for Bangladesh. This is aggravated by population pressures, lack of funds and inadequate policies.

The government is trying to eradicate poverty and achieve economic and social wellbeing through the National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA 2005) and the Bangladesh Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan (BCCSAP).
