Working for Nuffic
Nuffic is the Netherlands organisation for international cooperation in higher education.
We are an independent non-profit service provider established in The Hague to promote the internationalisation of Dutch higher education and research and to help improve access to higher education worldwide.
Working for Nuffic means working in an inspiring environment where Dutch government policy is translated to action.
Nuffic has a workforce of about 250. Around 200 people work at the head office in The Hague, while the rest work at our Netherlands Education Support Offices (Nesos) in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, Taipei, Thailand and Vietnam.
Nuffic offers its staff a challenging place to work, with an emphasis on teamwork and individual responsibility. The atmosphere is informal, but our focus is firmly on organisational goals and personal development.
Nuffic is made up of four Directorates: Programme Management, Information Services, UNESCO & Expertise, and Business Support. The Director-General and two other Directors together form the Board of Directors and are responsible for the running of the Directorates. Each Directorate is divided into departments, and most departments are again divided into teams.
In 2010, all Nuffic's work processes were certified in accordance with the standards set down in ISO 9001:2008, which means that Nuffic has established a structured quality assurance framework.
Employment terms and benefits
Nuffic offers attractive employment terms, including 8 per cent holiday allowance, 8.3 per cent year-end bonus, a pension scheme and ‘pick & mix’ benefit options.
Remuneration is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the Dutch universities. In addition, Nuffic offers opportunities for personal development through courses, training and coaching.
