Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of the Director-General, who is also Chair of the Board, and two directors, Mr Joep Houterman and Ms Hanneke Teekens.

The organisation has three main work areas: Information, Programme Development and Expertise. The Board is responsible for Nuffic's three specific focus areas and the day-to-day management.
Programme Management
- administrating international mobility programmes (scholarships) and institutional cooperation programmes (capacity building).
Information Services
- providing information about higher education systems in the Netherlands and in other countries;
- providing credential evaluation services;
- encouraging international mobility of students and teaching staff;
- promoting Dutch higher education and institutional cooperation (Neso programme).
Expertise
- conducting studies into international cooperation in higher education;
- providing information to expert groups and consultation forums;
- transferring knowledge of international cooperation in higher education through courses and seminars.
