Ms Ineke van der Linden
Ms Ineke van der Linden (1960) is Chair of the School of Economics and Management/HES of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. This school is the largest provider of programmes in economics in the applied sciences higher education sector in the Netherlands. It has more than 14,000 students in its bachelor’s degree programmes, of which five are fully in English.
The school has also appointed a senior researcher (lector) who carries out research in the field of internationalisation.
Ms van der Linden obtained a master’s degree in Dutch language and literature at the University of Utrecht. At the same time, she obtained a higher professional master’s degree in English language. She also holds an MBA from TiasNimbas in Utrecht.
In the early nineties, Ineke set up the international English-language bachelor’s programmes in economics and management at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht and held the post of Staff Director Internationalisation at the same institution for some time.
In her current post at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Ms van der Linden’s focus is on bridging the School’s professional field with the outside world. To support this she holds a number of additional posts.
She is Chair of the Advisory Council for the higher professional education sector in economics, a national advisory body to the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences [HBO-raad]. She is also a member of the board for the Amsterdam Centre for Entrepreneurship, a network of institutions of higher education set up to promote entrepreneurship.
